kiehl's midnight recovery concentrate.

Good morning, lovelies! I was going to feature this in my March Favorites post, which is taking forever to put together, but honestly, this beauty deserves its own ramble. I have heard about Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate ($46) for a long time now. But with having such problematic skin like I do, I nearly gave up on finding the miracle product for my skin and knew it would just be a long process of having the proper routine with the right products every day. (Though, as a side note, I have been eyeing Alpha-H's Liquid Gold for an exceptionally long time. Have any of you tried it? Let me know!)

I finally got my hands on this earlier this month while I was home in California for Spring Break. I had trouble shelling out the money for a 1.0 fl. oz. bottle of serum, so my Mom was sweet enough to let me give it a go. Let me tell you, it's pretty outstanding. It makes my skin feel smooth and it has reversed some sun damage. My skin has never felt more hydrated and plump (I couldn't think of anything better this morning).

Here are the claims: "Regenerates, repairs, and replenishes skin for a smoother, healthier skin. Works with the skin's natural nocturnal activity when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors to dramatically restore the skin. 99.8% naturally-derived and paraben-free."

It lives up to everything it promises. I never realized that one of my skin's biggest issues was dehydration, not to be confused with sensitive or dry skin. The Midnight Recovery Concentrate mixed in with Melvita's Narcissus Extraordinary Water ($25) work like a dream together to lock in any moisture in my skin after I cleanse and wash my face at night. Another tip that I realized some people overlook: I wash my face at night and after I wake up. Apparently the latter was a novel concept to some of my friends that I've talked to. My morning routine is less intensive than my night, but at least splash some cold water on your skin to even your tone out and wake the face up!

I'm telling you, two drops of this mixed in with your moisturizer, which is what I do, or two drops alone on your hands and patted in to your face before you moisturize... it'll rock your world. There was a Nordstrom reviewer that said something like, "If you aren't using this product yet, ask yourself why not?" I thought it was a little ridiculous for that to be her only review, but girlfriend, I'm right there with you.

I realize the price tag is pretty scary, and not a lot of people would be willing to put money in to something they have no idea what it will do for their skin. But what I suggest is buying it at your local Nordstrom counter or on Nordstrom.com. Nordstorm's return policy is something I swear by, and if it isn't working miracles for your skin, I would return it and see if something else at the Kiehl's counter would work better for you.

What are you waiting for? GO GET IT!
