mini haul.

I placed an order at Whole Foods for the evanhealy Rose Cleansing Milk ($28.99) last week, and I finally found the time to pick it up this morning. Let's get this out of the way now, so I don't ramble on and on about it. It smells like an absolute dream. It smells like a mixture of rose, aloe, and lavender. I don't think there's any lavender in it though. Obviously I'm not the best with scents, but it reminds me of the smell of massage oils and lotions at a spa. The claims are as follows, "Rose Cleansing Milk pairs the creaminess of a planet-milk with the lightly lathering action of natural yucca root creating a nourishing, effected and deep cleansing product. This skin-balancing formula effectively draws impurities out of tiny dermal pores leaving skin exquisitely clean. Daily use softens and loosens the hardened waxy deposits that are blackheads. Adding plant oils and floral waters to the skin restores vitality, balances hydration and refines pores resulting in skin that is soft, supple and resilient." Well, this sounds like a dream product. Other than a rich charcoal or clay mask, I have never really found that perfect product that really reduces blackheads for me. I have very stubborn pores along and surrounding my nose, so I tend to use blackhead removing products for other reasons. I can tell you, however, that the texture of the product is creamy, almost a heavy lotion. And the bottle is a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. But I am trying to keep an open mind about this little guy. I'm sure a review will come soon enough!

While I was waiting for the lady to grab the cleanser for me from the back, I noticed that the Yes to Cucumber Facial Towelettes ($5.99, on sale for $2.99) were on sale. I do believe you can find this product at your local drugstore or Target! I tend to stray away from face wipes because they tend to clog the pores and never really take of all of your make-up, but I have heard such great things about these wipes before that I knew I should give them a go! Especially for, you know, those extra lazy days... which tend to occur right around finals (see: four weeks from now). These wipes are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and oil free. The last of which is the most important to me. They are enriched with natural aloe vera and green tea, and made with compostable, natural cloth. It all sounds great and fabulous, but I'll be putting these to the test soon.

Finally, I popped in to CVS to buy a pack of mechanical pencils for the MPRE tomorrow, and walked down the hair aisle to get to the registers. I was trying to actively avoid any of the nail polish and make-up, but that didn't happen either. I ended up with the Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray ($5.99). Tomorrow night, I'm going to a Spring Fling dance of sorts with a bunch of drunk law students, and I'm pretty sure I am going to whip out the curling iron that I hardly use. I've seen a lot of people mention this in Favorites videos on YouTube, so I wanted to give it a go.

Have you used any of these products before? Tell me what you thought of them below!

  1. I used to use those Yes to Cucumber face wipes DAILY (also the blueberry ones are good too). The only downside to them was that they can dry out quickly so make sure to seal them extremely well. And you definitely have to rinse your face after, at the very least.

    1. I used the facial wipes for the first time the other day. It definitely doesn't get of every speck of make-up, but it does have a nice cooling, fresh sensation that I always appreciate. Did you feel a slight tingling after using it? I was wondering what the active ingredient was in it, but I don't know much about that stuff. xx

    1. I can't really tell what a BAD heat protectant would feel like. I don't have a ton of experience with them, but this seems to do the trick so far! Thanks for reading. xx
